Only organic search, no XML. We attempt to retrieve search results for each database as swiftly as possible. Generally this takes 3-4 days. We do so to produce a maximally coherent picture - in out database you are unlikely to find a half-filtered domain.
We're using Yandex' advertising campaign planner and the Wordstat.yandex.ru service itself. Search volume is retrieved in one off the most average months (September, October, November, March, April), so that we can get data least susceptible to seasonal fluctuations. Before we used the method of retrieving yearly search volume and displaying the result divided by 12, but lately this approach started to produce very distorted data.
Search volume is displayed in the two formats. Broad match means simply requesting a keyword's volume from the service without any additional filters. Exact match meanwhile means evaluating search volume for a keyword with this exact set of words, word forms, and order of words: "[!this !keyword !exactly]". Together these two values allow to estimate an approximate volume of complementary keywords and to precisely determine which specific keyword form has the best prospects, which resolves any issues with incorrectly phrased keywords, etc.
All data about search volume and cost per click is collected without specifying a keyword's region and any geo- or time-targeting.
